2009 Foundation Giving Declined at a Record Pace
According to a new report from the Foundation Center, the recession resulted in an estimated 8.4 percent drop in giving by the nation’s foundations in 2009. This represents the sharpest decline since the Center started tracking this data in 1975. The Foundation Center also projects that giving is likely to remain level both this year and next.
